Restaurant Interior — Sindhi Camp
A 60-cover restaurant interior built to the owner's design brief — warm, craft-forward aesthetic with custom booth seating, a feature bar, and hand-finished wooden panelling.
The Challenge
The restaurant space was a converted commercial unit with low ceiling height (2.7m) and a narrow 22ft frontage. The owner wanted a warm, intimate aesthetic without the space feeling cramped. The booth seating required a custom curve that standard modular units could not produce.
Our Solution
We designed and fabricated all furniture and joinery to custom dimensions. The curved booth backs were hand-shaped at our factory using steam-bent plywood — a technique our team has used for 20+ years. The bar counter height and overhang were designed for optimal bar stool ergonomics. Feature panelling on the rear wall was done in a teak-effect laminate with routed channel detailing.
Materials Used
- Steam-bent plywood — curved booth back frames
- 19mm marine plywood — all seating structures
- Commercial-grade cushion foam (40 density) with leatherette upholstery
- Teak-effect laminate with CNC-routed channel detail — feature wall
- Powder-coated MS frame — bar counter structure
- Solid sheesham wood — bar top
The Result
Restaurant opened on schedule. 60-cover capacity fully functional. The owner reported that every first-time visitor comments on the booth seating design. The space has been featured in two Jaipur food blogs since opening.
